Voting Transportation Resources

Through our Hopkins Votes commitment to supporting access to the democratic process, Johns Hopkins is making additional transportation resources available to the community.

Election Day and early voting shuttle services

Hopkins Shuttle services will be extended on October 29, 2024, for early voting and on Election Day, November 5, 2024. These are in addition to the regularly scheduled shuttles on those dates. 

Vote Early Day – Oct. 29, 2024

  • Homewood Election Route will offer service from Homewood campus to and from the Early Voting Center at the League for People with Disabilities twice hourly from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
  • Peabody Election Route will offer service from Peabody Institute to and from the Early Voting Center at the League for People with Disabilities twice hourly from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
  • East Baltimore Election Route will offer service from Johns Hopkins Hospital to the Early Voting Center at Enoch Pratt Free Library at 3601 Eastern Ave. twice hourly from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. 
  • Washington, D.C.: JHU D.C. Shuttle service hours will be extended to cover the full day that polling locations are open. The Metro Center stop is a short walk from the early voting center at the MLK Jr. Memorial Library at 901. G St. NW. 

* Registered voters can participate in early voting at any early voting location in D.C. and Baltimore.

Election Day – Nov. 5, 2024

  • Baltimore: On-demand shuttles will be available from 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. This service will exclusively cover any polling location within the normal on demand shuttle boundaries for Homewood, Peabody, and East Baltimore campuses.   • Washington, D.C.: JHU D.C. Shuttle service hours will be extended to cover the full day that polling locations are open. 

*Registered voters in Baltimore must vote at their designated polling location on Election Day.
**Registered voters in D.C. can vote at any D.C. polling location or early voting center on Election Day.
